There is no X-mailer field in my e-mails. I would like proudly expose my software's name. ;-)
I mean messages I wrote, not receive
If you open mail in your sent folder and check the headers... is the X-Mailer header in there? (It's not complete, as the server adds more, but it does record the headers that Scribe adds) It's possible that your SMTP server stripes that header out. I've checked my dev build and it's sending that header (you can check mail I've sent to you as well).
I'm always double-check my reports before posting, so I've inspected message copy in Sent folder as well as received messages sent to myself and compare them with headers produced by another software (OE and Scribe 1.90). I have no point what to do to reclaim that header in v2.00.
(In reply to comment #3) > I have no point what to do to reclaim that header in v2.00. This doesn't make sense to me... can you see the headers in the sent folder email?
X-Mailer appears as expected when Scribe is installed from scratch. I checked both mailstore formats. So, it must be something about my mail store content or puzzle of options. You can close this "bug" as regarding 1 user ;-) I will investigate this issue myself, without haste.
Catched! It is hard to believe... X-Mailer header is blocked by lgi.conf, containing following 3 lines: <options> <scribe on-close="Minimize"/> </options> Perhaps it is the good moment to consider moving this handy option to Scribe's configuration (accessed from Options dialog)?
