Ted is a simple little text editor. It's primary use is currectly to provide a cross platform editor control for my main application Scribe but I've released it as a stand alone editor as well. It's not designed to compete with other text editors, as there are many others that are far better, but hey it's open source and free so people could [theoretically] write any features they needed into it. Not that anyone would bother ;)
